NTE: Neverness to Everness finally has a date. Hotta Studio and Perfect World have confirmed that the supernatural open world RPG launches globally on April 29, 2026, with full cross platform support covering PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation 5 and Mac.
The global release lands about a week after the China rollout, where the Open Beta is scheduled for April 23. Preregistration is already open across every storefront, and NTE will be free to play, which is what you would expect from a gacha built game.
A city where the strange is just normal
NTE drops you into Hethereau, a sprawling neon soaked metropolis where reality warping events, called anomalies in game, are simply part of daily life. You play an "unlicensed" Anomaly Hunter working that city.
Instead of one combat loop, the game mixes several modes of play:
- Open world exploration across the urban sprawl of Hethereau
- Supernatural threats to investigate and hunt
- Odd jobs and investigation that flesh out the city and its residents
The pitch is a lived in city first and a battlefield second, with the idea that anomalies are the new normal setting the tone. That is a real contrast to the combat forward identity of most of its gacha peers.
Cross platform on day one
For a lot of players the platform spread is the actual headline. Launching at once on PC, PS5, mobile and Mac with full cross platform support is aggressive scope, and it means your progress and your session can move between devices without friction.
That breadth matters for a free to play title. The wider the net at launch, the bigger the starting player pool, and cross save removes the usual reason people drift away when they switch from phone to console and back.
Hotta Studio comes in with pedigree, and going multi platform with shared progression says it is aiming at the same broad audience that keeps the biggest live service open worlds running.
The takeaway
After a long stretch of speculation, NTE: Neverness to Everness has a firm April 29, 2026 global launch and an open preregistration window on every platform it is targeting. The supernatural city premise gives it an identity of its own, and the day one cross platform commitment shows Hotta Studio is not easing into the market. Whether Hethereau's mix of investigation, odd jobs and anomaly hunting holds up in a crowded free to play field is what launch will answer. The ambition on the platform side is not in question.
